If there is one thing that New York isn’t short on, it is great places to eat. With every cuisine that you could ever possibly hope for, no matter what you fancy, you are likely to find it.

Whilst I can’t promise that I have eaten in every restaurant myself (I simply don’t have the time) I do know of some amazing places to eat when you are in the city. To help you to decide where you want to eat, here is some inspiration for you.

Spicy Village

When you first see Spicy Village, you might be concerned about the fact that it is the size of a stamp and features a cash-only payment system. Not only this, but it also offers BYOB too. These are not things that should put you off, in fact, it shows that they are all about the food. Based in Chinatown and owned by a husband and wife team, this is the place to go if you love delicious noodles and amazing flavors!

Le Coucou

If you are looking to treat yourself to something luxurious and special whilst you are in New York, then you need to book in at Le Coucou. A traditional French style menu, here you will find some amazing dishes such as foie gras, lobster, and oysters too. However, it isn’t all about style, as here you will find some delicious substance too.

Katz’s

Not every restaurant in New York has to be fancy, in fact, some of them are designed to pack flavor rather than a fancy menu. Based in the city for more than 125 years, over that time, not much has changed at Katz’s. However, this isn’t a bad thing. A Jewish deli, as soon as you reach the doors you will smell the pastrami and rye that is freshly sliced and baked on the premises. A haven for sandwich lovers, this is an amazing place to visit.

I Sodi

Since 2008, this Italian restaurant has become a popular place for diners that love to sample Tuscany. Not only does it deliver amazing foods from a simple yet delicious menu, but it also boasts a cozy atmosphere that people seem to really love. One thing that you need to know is that you will be expected to wait in line to get a table here.

Los Tacos No 1

If a sign of a good place to eat is in its queue length, then Los Tacos No 1 is the place to go. Here you will find the most amazing tacos in the city, however, as it is based in the Chelsea Market and offers very little in the way of seating, this is the best bet for those who are looking for lunch or a quick bite to eat on the run!

As you can see, there is something for everyone in New York. Make sure that you plan in to eat at some of these amazing places and you will be able to really taste the culture that flows through the city.
