However, there are those spots on the island which very few people know of their existence and the few who have been lucky to visit them, can testify of a great experience. 1. Tree Beach On Daufuskie
Daufuskie is a very remote area and therefore somehow isolated. In fact, the only way to access the Tree beach on Daufuskie is by boat, and maybe this is why it is still a secret spot because not everyone loves boating or would find it fun. However, if you can overlook the passage part, there are several things you can enjoy while at Tree Beach. For instance, the beach will never be crowded; have fun kayaking, and enjoy the view of dolphins playing offshore.
2. Fish Haul Creek Park
Hilton Head has numerous parks, but Fish Haul Creek Park is among the few that you may not know about. You will find it near Beach City Road, and it is one of the historic spots in Hilton Head. One of the most amazing features about this park is the deserted seashore with driftwood benches that are made by mother nature. It provides a very beautiful view. Other things that Fish Haul Creek Park offers include a playground, different waterways and a free view of different islands in the area. Colby Burke Hilton Head says that this is a perfect spot when you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to relax. Other amenities in the park include a picnic pavilion, outdoor showers, restrooms and unobstructed observation deck.
3. Audubon Newhall Preserve
This reserve is only a few miles from the Palmetto Bay Road, and it has a lot of fun activities to offer. You can go for a picnic with your spouse and have fun by the lake anytime you visit Hilton Head. In addition to having a romantic experience, you will also have a chance to hike from the North Woods trail for those who love hiking. Even if not so many people visit Audubon Newhall Preserve, it should be your must-visit spot when you are on the island. Other things you might come across in this spot are marked tree by people who visited before, and this means you can also mark a tree to remember your visit few years to come. You will be helped by an informed trail guide across the reserve to ensure you don’t get lost and help you learn new things while there. The good thing is that your children can tag along for short-distance trails.
4. Burkes Beach Folly
Many people may have visited Burkes Beach, but very few know of the existence of its folly which gives the beach that pleasant old feel. You will have a chance to enjoy a beach yoga while your kids have fun in the shallow water. It is a secret spot that will allow you to pass the time in the outdoors while doing nothing or reading a book without much distraction. Other amenities that make the spot amusing is that it has ample parking, adequate lifeguards and you can also surf while at it.
